The City of Staunton has completed a major environmental restoration project on the Cole Avenue stream channel, an initiative that addresses erosion, improves water quality, and helps meet state and federal stormwater pollution reduction requirements.
Fall Heavy Trash Begins Sept. 8
City of Staunton residents can dispose of large, bulky items during the city’s fall heavy trash collection. Items must be placed at the curb no later than 7 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 8.
City Schedules for Labor Day
The schedules for City of Staunton offices and facilities will be modified in observance of Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 1. Beverley Street will remain closed for Shop & Dine Out in Downtown on Labor Day, with bollards being removed by 7:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
