As a follow-up to the Dec. 19 press release, the City of Staunton has been notified by Flock Safety that the contract was officially terminated as of Jan. 8, 2026.
The Staunton Police Department initially contacted Flock Safety on Dec. 18 to begin the termination process.
At this time, Flock Safety has not scheduled the removal of the license plate readers.
